Pet's Story
We were lucky to adopt Ron from the shelter last November. We couldn't have taken him home because we had a family trip scheduled soon, for Thanksgiving, staying at a hotel. But my friend Marci offered for Ron Weasley to come to her home during Thanksgiving and visit with their little dog, Ernest T. Bass., making it possible for us to adopt Ron. What a gift that was! Now Ron gets all excited when he knows he's going to Marci's, and get lots of affection from her daughters Isabel and Marissa!

He also likes to visit Grace, 89-year-old mom of my high school best friend. Although not an opera fan himself, Ron is content to cuddle with Grace while we watch opera on TV. He gets so excited when the car gets near her home in Indianapolis. (That may be connected to the treats she always has waiting for him!)

Ron is a great companion since our children are all grown, living in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Fort Collins, Colorado. We think he's so charming that we totally understand when our daughters call and want to Facetime -- with our sweet little dog! And his name ... well ... our daughters were trying to come up with a name for this good friend to us all -- and who was best friend and companion through many adventures with beloved Harry Potter? Ron Weasley, of course! And he is always ready to accompany us on any adventure.
