Your Pet's Story or Bio
Diana (aka Di) had a rough start in life. Along with one of her puppies, Di was rescued from a South Carolina puppy mill and transferred to a kill shelter, also in South Carolina. From there, she was rescued by DC Paws and placed in a foster home. After three weeks with a great foster mom, we adopted her. Weighing only 72 lbs when we got her, we got Di to fighting weight in no time with lots of love and some chicken and dumplings! There is nothing Di loves more than food and a soft bed, but like many rescues, she carries emotional and physical scars from her years of neglect. This picture shows the result of her car anxiety as she has hijacked the front seat!
