Pet's Story
Fresca (right) and Sable (left) were both foster dogs from Placing Paws. Sable was a stray that was found locally full of burs from her time on the run. She was adopted to a wonderful family who sends us a Christmas card with an update each year. We fell in love with Fresca after nursing her back to health and decided to adopt her into our family. Fresca was found roaming around a parking lot where factory workers were feeding her. She had many terrible skin issues including a yeast infection and mange. She was nearly bald when we got her and smelled terrible from her rotten skin. After many, many months of skin scrapes, medicated baths, numerous medications and having her spay incision stitched up 3 times she has made a full recovery and has the most beautiful coat. Through all of the awful things she went through she never lost her sassy and sweet personality! Fresca and Sable spent many months together in our home and became the best of friends. I thought the picture of these 2 sharing a stick really depicted what Placing Paws Rescue is all about.
