Bon-Bon

Pet's Story
Bon-Bon was one of the puppy-mill poodles I fostered around three years ago. When I picked her up, her health was in poor condition. She weighed just over 3 pounds because the "breeders" stopped feeding her when they didn't need her anymore. She now weighs around 6 pounds. She had a broken jaw, and had to have all of her teeth except two removed. She had a tumor which needed to be removed and she was so matted, at one point it was unsure if she had both her eyes. She had never touched the outside ground or grass, left a crate, or had any loving human interactions. The first thing she did in the vet's office as I sat on the floor was run up and kiss me on the cheek. After all the cruelty she endured, she only had the capacity to love. She is a little princess now. She is treated with love and kindness everyday. She doesn't let the lack of teeth get in her way. She can easily take down any treat given to her. She likes to spend her days sleeping on top of at least two pillows. She takes short walks around the block on warm days. She gets along with all dogs, big or little. She is an amazing being, and I am so fortunate to have her in my life. I look at her and she wags her tail, even after years of abuse.
