My hairdresser called me and said she’d found a beautiful pittie for me on a local online site! I was dog-less for the first time in my life, and I was really sad and also stressed looking for a house. As it turned out, he was looking for a house too – he was an illegal guest in a tiny trailer park – his host got caught, and he was stuck. So lucky me! He was about a year old when we fell in love, but very mature for his age so I let him pick out his new name – Bonz - or was he just asking for a bone? We both decided on his birthday – August 22nd – to celebrate the day we found each other. He’s 3 now – my big boy – he’s graduated from obedience school, laughed and cried with me for 2 years looking for a house and keeping me company after my operation, and took a road trip and got to stay in a motel. We found a new home last year, and is he a lucky boy! We’ve got 3 acres, logs and rocks to climb on, and he’s got 2 kiddie pools for the hot summers. I promised him a dog walk for his birthday next summer, and, hopefully, a brother and/or a sister before then! He loves his car rides, and when I get out of the car he sits in the driver’s seat and grins at everyone who walks past. He’s become quite well-known and loves it when they say hello back, especially if they tell him how handsome he looks that day. August 22, 2014 was such a lucky day for us both!
