Windy was rescued from Town Lake Animal shelter when a plea was put out to help save some dogs from death row. Sadly, they had to euthanize 80 dogs that day...but Windy was one of the lucky ones. I had intended on adopting her out, but she quickly made herself right at home with us. At only one years old, she was so happy to be rescued and out of the shelter, and she let us know! Just a few days later we entered the Mighty Texas Dog Walk in which she jumped up in the air with excitement, as we walked, the entire three miles! She was such a happy dog, she was literally jumping for joy. Everyone looked at her in amazement. She is now 14 and has slowed down a bit, but still very active. This picture was taken when it snowed on Valentine's Day several years ago. I call it "Walking in a Windy Wonderland".
