Two years ago, SAPA! posted an album of dogs scheduled to be euthanized the next day. I can't describe it, but we just felt a connection with one of the dogs in the album - our pup soon to be named Leela.

We raced over to SAPA! the next day and adopted one of the biggest joys of our life. Leela was a stray just picked up off the streets, and since then we have seen her blossom into a joyful, energetic four-year-old dog.

Leela loves to zoom around the yard, fall asleep on top of clean laundry, and go for boat rides on Lake LBJ. Without exception, she greets you every day with tons of kisses, butt wiggles, and unconditional love. She is proof that some of the best dogs come from when you "adopt, don't shop!"
