170 pounds of pure love and joy. At the Bark Park there was a boy with Down Syndrome, and he was the only dog that didn't bark at the boy; rather, he leaned in hard for a head scratch, flipped over for a belly rub, and brought a ball to the boy so they could play fetch together. When my husband died, he dug his best bones out of the toy box and piled them in my lap, trying to make me feel better, and he did this for weeks!
