Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) is holding our fourth annual online photo contest to raise money and help support our efforts to rescue and rehome English Setters at risk throughout the Southwestern USA. The photos that receive the most votes during the contest will be awarded GREAT prizes, and the top 13 vote-getters will be featured in our SWESR 2018 calendar. 

We encourage you to enter the contest with your favorite photo of your English Setter and a few words about your best friend. Then invite your family and friends to vote for your photo! The contest is open to anyone and you may enter your photo for FREE. Your photo entry does not have to be of a rescue dog. We welcome photos of all English Setters - beautiful and regal, silly and goofy, naughty and nice, rough and tumble, indoor snuggle bunnies and outdoor adventurers. 

Voting is easy and fun and open to everyone. Votes are $1 each. Each dollar donated equals an equivalent number of votes. (A $5 donation equals 5 votes, a $10 donation equals 10 votes, etc.) A minimum donation of $5 is required. Proceeds will benefit Southwest English Setter Rescue and fund the medical expenses of our rescue dogs. SWESR is a designated 501(c)(3) charity, making all donations toward voting in the contest tax deductible. You can vote as often as you like during the contest. You can apply all your votes to one photo or vote for multiple photos during the contest. 

For the best chance to win, be sure to spread the word about your dog's entry in the contest. Ask family and friends to go online and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE for your photo. You can use the sharing buttons that appear on your dog's photo page to share your photo entry with your Facebook friends. And you can email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your dog's photo. This will help you receive the votes for your photo(s) while helping us raise donations to support Southwest English Setter Rescue!

Don't have an English Setter or a favorite photo of your Setter to submit? No worries, you can participate AND support SWESR by browsing the amazing photos and stories of English Setters, picking your favorites and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE. Check back often, photos will be added throughout the contest. What a great way to start your day on a happy note, looking at pictures of English Setters and voting to support English Setter rescue!

Contest begins July 6th, 2017 at 7:00 am (CDT) and runs through July 27th, 2017 at 9:00 pm (CDT). 

The top vote recipient will be featured on the cover of the 2018 SWESR calendar AND as a full-page pet-of-the-month in the 13 month calendar AND will also receive:

• an 11x14 unframed watercolor and acrylic painting of your dog
• a SWESR 2018 Calendar
• a set of SWESR notecards personalized with your dog's photo

The next 12 entries with the highest number of votes will have their photo featured as a full-page pet-of-the month in the SWESR 2018 calendar AND will also receive:

• a SWESR 2018 Calendar
• a set of SWESR notecards personalized with your dog's photo

• All entries that receive more than 100 votes will receive a free SWESR 2018 Calendar
• All entries with 25 or more votes will appear as small date-box photos throughout the SWESR 2018 calendar

All contest prizes have either been generously donated or underwritten by friends of SWESR. Proceeds will benefit Southwest English Setter Rescue and fund the medical expenses of our rescue dogs.
