I adopted Phoebe 3 years ago when she was 8 years old. She was a retired showdog and the sweetest soul you can imagine.
She loves sleeping on the bed right next to me and she loves helping me with my food. If I don't offer, she looks on the counter for it. She loves to eat paper - anything from cardboard to cookbooks, which is the only source of conflict we ever have. Despite her paper-eating habits she is the love of my life. I wouldn't trade her for anything and I love my little freckle-faced girl.
