Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
Apollo is a famous SCA rescue who we fostered to adopt in May 2020 and he was our bright light (literally the sun god!) in an otherwise disastrous year.

He was found in terrible condition on the streets in Hollywood with his leg and ear terribly burnt - believed to have been from sleeping in a car engine. Stray Cat Alliance jumped into action and he had to have his leg amputated at only a few weeks old, fortunately his ear was ok to heal on its own.

We brought him home from the vet and he was so resilient and healed incredibly quickly; he was soon running around the house and absolutely enamored by his new big brother George, also a rescue.

It was true kismet as the cat colony caretaker told us that Apollo's dad is a large Ginger Tabby ... named George! And she sent us a picture, and he is the spitting image of our George.

SCA is a wonderful organization and we are so grateful to them for introducing us to one of the great loves our lives, Apollo.
