Your pet's story or fun facts about your pet
I adopted Nellie from Suncoast Humane Society in July of 2012. She was part of the 263 dogs in chicken coops.
She was named "Nervous Nellie" by an adoption counselor Laurie. She was a very anxious and scared. At first she wouldn't allow me to cut her nails or trim her without a muzzle; she also needed a tranquilizer when having anything done. Now I can trim her nails and coat without a muzzle or any tranquilizer, She has learned to trust me. We are still working on leash training, but she has come a long way. Nellie and I have bonded, She still has some issues that we are working on, hiring a trainer to so that she can feel more comfortable, and be able to do more. Very thankful for Suncoast Humane Society and their wonderful staff for rescuing Nellie and giving her a second chance, of a furever home.
