Momma + Millicent

Millicent was our first foster and a complete foster failure, meaning we couldnt live without her and adopted her. Her mom was found in a junkyard pregnant and gave birth to her puppies while in the rescue. Millicent is such a blessing to our family. I'd say our first foster experience was successful! From then we fostered over 10 dogs and placed them in wonderful homes! Which then led us to fostering Momma. Momma was living under a mans trailer with her 5 puppies (naked babies) who all had mange. Momma was heartworm positive and scared to death. Her puppies all were fostered (one by us) and adopted. Momma was still in need of a foster home and heartworm treatment. I knew I had to help! We have now had momma for almost two years. She has made so much progress and has healed so much physically and mentally, mostly due to Millicent. Millie took in momma and showed her how to be a companion, how to play, how to snuggle and how to trust humans again. These two besties deserve a place in the two by two calendar this year!
