Hi, my name is Highland... well, that's my name now since I couldn't tell my rescue angels my real name. My mom & I wandered in the woods near Hoover for almost a month before the team of angels from Two By Two rescued us. I won't go into all of the details because I don't want you to feel sad. We are working on my happy ending now! That's what counts!

After a thorough (and I do mean *thorough*) exam by the great folks at Hope Veterinary Hospital, I came to my foster home with a clean bill of health and a new "leash" on life. :)
Thank goodness for the humans who donated to Two By Two to cover the cost of my spay surgery, microchip and shots. I'm all ready for my forever home now!

I have learned SO much in my foster home. Being around humans isn't so bad after all. In fact, I kinda have it made! I was super afraid, but my foster human was patient and allowed me to get used to my new digs before she started introducing me to new things. I didn't like to be touched, but I even enjoy a belly rub now... from a human!

I enjoy being outside and I LOVE going for walks. I've been told that I'm great on leash... not "good" or "pretty good" ... GREAT! Kinda proud of that! And I don't even have to look for food anymore! It just shows up twice a day like clockwork! Jackpot!
