This green eyed handsome hunk is Rodney. He will leave one lasting paw print on your heart. Rodney was rescued from a high kill shelter. Rodney is a Pit bull terrier mix and due to his breed and injury, it is believed that he did not have much time left at that shelter before he would have been put down.
If only this dog could talk to tell us his story.
Rodney was found after being trapped in the woods. Literally trapped. We can only imagine that his front paw most likely got stuck in a hunter's trap or some kind of noose. He fought to get out and sadly no longer has his paw pad. Rodney is currently being treated with antiobiotics and pain medicine due to his open wound. He has been learning to walk on three legs. He will be headed to the vet this week to find out if his leg has to be amputated. Please keep this sweet boy in your prayers. Despite his injury he is beyond loving, affectionate, and always wagging his tail.
