I was picking up Brutus after his surgery at Alabama Shelter Vets, when I saw this skinny white dog in a carrier out front. He had just been neutered, had a runny nose, and was solid white with light eyes. The light eyes and white fur can mean deafness in a lot of breeds. I called Heather with Two by Two and begged for help. I couldn't let him just go back to the shelter. He looked really sick and I feared he was deaf. I just couldn't risk the chance that he end up in the wrong hands. She agreed to let me pick him up under Two by Two if I fostered him. He was very ill when I went to get him. I named him Amos, because he reminded me of an old soul. I immediately took him to Hope Animal Clinic. They gave him a high dose of antibiotics to combat the kennel cough and probiotics to combat the stomach upset. After about a week, he began to act like a puppy. I even brought him up to my work to show everyone just how cute he is. He stole my heart, and a fellow coworkers. They had just gotten married, and he became their baby. Thanks to Two by Two this boy has the home of his dreams. He can soak up all the love of two sweet human beings, and sleep all day on a comfy sofa.
