Birds, possum, and raccoons, yep. I just wish she would have stopped stuffing the raccoons under the bed. She nurtured every rescue weim I adopted or fostered back to health emotionally and physically. She was the perfect aide for treating veterans. All this despite her occasional "talk to the paw" and elitist attitude that is reserved for divas. But what made her truly special for me is that I am only on this earth is because she found a cancer I didn't know I had. Her whining, crying, and laying on my stomach made me go to a doctor and continued until my surgery, then she was as delicate as can be. She would even lean into me to help me stand when she felt I wasn't steady. Every time. In the end, she rescued me.
