1 FUR 1 Foundation is an innovative nonprofit on mission to help animals and heal people in need of alternative wellness plan. We offer free animal-assisted therapy and activities to Americans with disabilities, first responders, child crime victims and veterans at facilities across MI, OH, FL, CA, TN, SC, NC, NJ & CT. In the first half of 2022, our programs delivered over 550 visits and impacted the lives of 16,683 people. Every month, 1 FUR 1 works with up to 47 specially trained and certified animals (40+ canines, 4 mini horses and1 mini donkey) who love to help heal people. Although all of our animal-assisted therapy and activities are free-of-charge, we don't receive government funding and solely rely on the generosity of the public.
