Rules

Puppy Photo Contest Period. The Contest entry period and voting starts on September 14, 2017 at 4:00 AM Pacific Time ("PST") and ends on October 19, 2017 at 10:00 PM Pacific Time ("PST"). All entries must be received during the "Contest Period" to be eligible to win any prizes.

Eligibility. To enter the contest your dog's photo must comply with the photo guidelines and a $5 minimum entry donation is required. Entries are limited to puppies who are 1-year-old or younger. Contest entry must be done electronically. Participation in the 2018 calendar photo-shoot requires contestants and their puppy to be present on October 21st or 22nd at Zoom Room Redondo Beach (click here for details).

Photo Submission Guidelines: The puppy photo must be entrant's original creation and owned one hundred percent (100%) by the entrant. Commercial reproduced photographs from professionals will not be accepted without proper release. Once entered, all photos become property of 1 FUR 1 Foundation to be used for print and marketing purposes.

• Digital photo must be in color
• No humans allowed in photos
• ONLY high resolution landscape/horizontal format photos will be eligible to participate in the 2018 calendar
• Photo Submission can include one or more dogs; one must be a puppy 1-year-old or younger
• The Photo Submission must NOT contain material; 1) that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, and/or defamatory; 2) that violates, misappropriates, or infringes upon any law or regulation or the rights of any third party, including any copyright, trademark, or any rights of publicity or privacy, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights; 3) that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; 4) that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where Submission is created. Any photos can be removed from the puppy photo contest if deemed inappropriate by 1 FUR 1 volunteers.

Donations: Each dollar donated represents one vote. Due to processing costs, a $5 minimum entry is required to enter your puppy in the 1 FUR 1 puppy photo calendar contest. All donations are final and tax-deductible by law – a receipt will be emailed to you. All proceeds from this contest and calendar sales will directly funds the growth of 1 FUR 1's Animal Assisted Therapy and Animal Assisted Activity Programs in the U.S.A.

Selection and Notification of Winner. Winners are determined by the number of votes received during the contest period from on September 14, 2017 at 4:00 AM Pacific Time ("PST") until October 19, 2017 at 10:00 PM Pacific Time ("PST"). All winners will be notified via e-mail and can expect delivery of prizes via mail by the end of November. To claim the prize, the winner(s) should respond to email with all necessary shipping and contact information requested electronically, no later than November 19^th otherwise the prize will be revoked. Pick-up of prizes will be available at Zoom Room Redondo Beach, per request. Selection of the winning Submission by 1FUR1 will be based on the following criteria: (a) how creative it is; (b) the extent to which it is inspirational; (c) the quality of the photo submission.

Use of Winner's Name, Pet Photo, etc. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Contest constitutes permission to use pet photo and winner's and pet's name, Facebook name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information in all media now known or later devised throughout the universe in perpetuity for all purposes 1FUR1 deems appropriate – including, without limitation, for promotional and publicity purposes – without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any Prize, except where prohibited by law, winner may (in 1FUR1's sole discretion) be required to execute a written consent, confirming 1FUR1's right to use such winner's name, Facebook name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information without further permission or compensation.

General Release. By entering the Contest, you release 1 FUR 1 Foundation and it's contest sponsors from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, mis-delivery, acceptance, possession, or use of or inability to use any Prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. 1 FUR 1 Foundation any participating sponsors, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, volunteers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of 1 FUR 1 Foundation or by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.
