1 FUR 1 Foundation is an innovative nonprofit on mission to help animals and heal people in need of alternative treatment plan. We've designed our animal-assisted programs to positively impact those most at risk of losing their assistance benefits; children and seniors with disabilities. Just last year, specially trained animals were able to bring healing to over 6,000 people, from all walks of life, at every step on the journey to wellness. 1 FUR 1 works with 37 animals (28 canines, 2 mini horses, 1 mini donkey, 1 cat and a rabbi) every month to provide services in three states (California, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri). Although all of our animal-assisted therapy and activities are free-of-charge, we don't receive government funding and solely rely on the generosity of the public.
