Your Pet's Rescue Story
There are so many stories I could tell as our ranch has 40 rescue animals on it. The one about our pig Ophelia just comes to mind. I went out with my friend Barb and Dillon to rescue a horse. The horse was in ok shape but took some time to load her in the trailer. Dillon was 14 at the time and asked the lady... "whatcha gonna do with that pig" She said... "Oh her...she is a piece of work. If you can catch her you can have her." Dillon looked up at me and Barb and took off running. After about 40 mins of loading the horse, we heard in the faint background... "I GOT HER" Here he comes hold a screaming pig. We put her in a dog kennel in the back of the pick up. Once we his the highway, Dillon said "should she be out of the kennel?" I looked in mirror and she was snout to the air enjoying the ride. I safely brought the truck and trailer to a spot on the side of the freeway and jumped out to catch her. We did and the rest is history...she lives a charmed life!!!
