Your Pet's Rescue Story
My husband and I went to look for a small lap dog to adopt (rescue), but wound up with a medium size dog instead. Blondie immediately came up to me when I walked up to the adoption table while others just laid on their blankets and never lifted their head. It was as if she had chosen us out of all the people there to adopt pets. Blondie had been adopted earlier, but brought back to the shelter. Then her 2nd adopted family brought her back when the mother and father were getting a divorce. What a sad story that no one seemed to be able to keep her. She chose us and we took her home and she has been such a joy for me and my husband. She is such a loving animal that I cannot begin to explain that she is now "home" and will have her first Christmas celebration with us. Blondie is about 9 mos. old and she is proudly sitting in front of her first Christmas tree. Her stocking is hung on the fireplace awaiting treats since she is such a good girl!
