We got Noella last year from the West Vancovuer BCSPCA about 3 months after our 7 year old cat passed away unexpectedly of a blood clot. We wanted to get our other 7 year old cat a new friend.
We picked Noella up on a Saturday afternoon, only to see her limping over the weekend. After taking her to our vet on Monday, we discovered that she had a broken hip joint. The BCSPCA stepped up and were awesome about arranging and paying for the corrective surgery within a short amount of time.
We now have an awesome, healthy, energetic cat who loves to get into everything, especially laundry baskets and the 7' high cat shelf we created on the structural post in the corner of our condo. She also loves helping me get ready in the morning by sitting in the sink(even if the water is running) and getting brushed while I'm brushing my hair out by demanding every other stroke be for her. Noella's also known for bouncing off walls to turn corners, helping with puzzles, waiting to ambush people going past door ways, climbing the back of the computer chair and occasionally playing fetch(if she feels like it of course). She also loves her big brother and likes sleeping by him on the window sills and couch, and chasing him around the house.
I believe Noella would have had a hard time if the BCSPCA hadn't found her and made it possible for us to bring her into our life. She would love to be able to help other animals in need through your generous donations for the calendar.
