Your Pet's Adoption Story
Pumpkin was shy and depressed when we were first introduced. He hadn't shown much interest in wanting to eat or interact with anyone while he had been at the shelter. After a few minutes of talking to the vet tech with his kennel door open, he perked up and began seeking our attention. Adopting Pumpkin was a spontaneous decision, but one we don't regret.

We became separated in April 2015 after our house was destroyed in a fire. Pumpkin had actually tried to wake us up before we realized what was happening. After a long and extensive search, we were reunited four months later. Since the fire, Pumpkin has become more social. He continues to be more outgoing (and, er--vocal) and less nervous as time goes by.

Pumpkin enjoys sitting in open windows to watch the birds, wet food twice each day, and sleeping all morning in our unmade bed.
