We adopted each other!

I was living in the woods awaiting housing, and walking back from the 7-11 one night I heard, "mEW!" I called out, but nothing. I'd just about given up for the night when a friend brought me a tiny bundle. "Oh little punkin' you'll be okay", I told him.

My concern for him was eased when he proved to be super fast and an excellent tree climber. He turned out to be astutely aware of my anxieties and became my ptsd emotional support animal.

These days we've been in our amazing apartment for four years, and Punkin will be having his 5th birthday. He's now a content housecat with his very own balcony, and enjoys supervised walks outside.

I'm so glad we found each other.
