My rescue dog was pulled from a kill shelter by a woman in Nashville, TN. who was connected with Above and Beyond. At that time, my dog couldn't stand on her 4 legs. She'd been kept in a crate that was too small for her. She was housed with some other rescue setters for a month or more before she was able stand and walk.
I saw her photo and fell in love with her ! I've now had her for 7 years. She is, I'm sure, forever grateful! She's my best friend ! She's had to have one eye removed, but that hasn't stopped her from running joyfully through the woods, pointing birds , fish, and butterflies, and enjoying a Maine lake and Maine blueberries !
I named her Liberty as I felt she was liberated from a life as a breeding bitch.
I'm forever grateful for the woman who pulled Libby from the shelter, cared for her, and posted her on-line.
