Topper was found wandering in a freeway median in 2008, at about 2YO. We fostered him for ACES, and he was adopted by a couple in NH. The man was diabetic, already a double-amputee, but exercised Topper by running him for miles daily alongside his electric wheelchair. Alas, his adoptor developed a systemic infection and died. Before he passed away, he asked us to take Topper back, because he'd so obviously been happy in our home. We have had Topper back since 2009. He is a wonderful, sweet, happy pup - aren't most setters?
