My Pet's Story
Penelope is a beautiful calico and special needs girl. She has Feline Leukemia. She was found at the doorstep of a veterinarian's home. She is believed to be around 7. She came to our home on February 1, 2017. We were going to slowly introduce her to our other Felv + girl. We thought it might be nice for them to have each other. Unfortunately, our sweet tuxedo Emily passed on March 15th and Penelope never met her roommate to be. Penelope was having issues with her eyes, especially the right one. In April, she had that eye removed. She still gets drops in the left one. But, she does seem more energetic. She loves to play. Her favorite toy is the cat dancer. It's a good thing they're inexpensive, she goes through them quickly! She also has a ball that she likes to chase around. Since she has felv, she is in a bedroom all to herself. She doesn't mind. She goes outside on the enclosed patio, when the other kitties are not there. I make sure she has that time. Her bedroom window has a perch, so she can watch outside anytime. She enjoys watching the other kitties too. I spend at least 2 hours each evening with her. She likes to lay on my shoes. Not sure why yet! She does some funny things and always makes me laugh. I don't know how long I'll be blessed to have her, but I'll enjoy every moment.
