My Pet's Story
I was not expecting Emily. A neighbor called me and asked if I could help her. She found a kitten in the community and thought the baby needed help. The eyes didn't look good. She was looking for a vet on a Saturday. So, I ended up finding one open to examine her. They tested for Feline Leukemia and unfortunately, it came up positive. They asked if I wanted to put her down. I was so horrified. I said absolutely not. I ended up taking her home and putting her in a room by herself. She was pretty sick, needing antibiotics and such. I got her well enough and took her to my own vet. She ended up living 3 years, 2 1/2 with me. I just lost her March 15,2017.
She was the most gentle soul. She loved to get petted and would just lay in my lap. I tried to let her go outside sometime, but it really frightened her. I wanted her to feel safe, so I didn't push it. She loved food, especially mahi. She really didn't play much. Once in a while, I'd get her to play with a ball. Most times, she just liked to lay in her scratcher bed and get petted. I miss her so much. She gave me a lot of peace. I hope she is resting peacefully.
