My Pet's Story
My husband and I don’t have children, and after a couple years of discussing and dismissing the thought of getting a dog (partly due to my allergies), my niece brought up the subject one weekend, urging us to find a dog that we could adopt.

Sooooo, we all got together and visited several shelters, unable to find any connections, until we arrived at the last place for the day and met Ace at APR.

As soon as we met Ace, despite his aloofness, we knew he was the ONE! We couldn’t believe such a handsome, gentle, intelligent (quiet) dog was available for adoption, much less kept out on a balcony all day and night. There was no hesitation on our part, especially for my husband.

Although Ace can still be aloof (part of his charm), he is smart, can be very playful, is affectionate, gentle, and as long as he’s not around any cats, he is well behaved ;). The best is, by some miracle I am not allergic.

There is no doubt Ace and my husband are best friends, sharing a special bond that truly warms my heart. We feel extremely blessed to have him as our family and could not imagine life without our Ace.
