My Pet's Story
I adopted Ella at 9 months old in June of 2020 as a playmate for my 2 year old cat, Timmy. He had lost his sister and best friend prematurely to kidney failure at the start of the year. Timmy was missing her and having a kitty friend very much. I gave both of us time to heal and started gradually but meticulously looking for a new addition to our family.

When I went to Abandoned Pet Rescue it was my 3rd time visiting a shelter to see if I could find the right match. Ella was sitting on a high shelf and rolled over for me to pet her and rub her belly but I had to catch her because she rolled right off the shelf. I instantly fell in love with her affectionate, playful and calm demeanor.

After as slow of an introduction I could manage because of their curiosity to be together, they hit it off immediately. Timmy is enamored with Ella and the feeling is mutual. They snuggle, play and like to share toys or just lounge on their catio soaking up the sun and watching the birds.

Ella is extremely affectionate, loves to be held and can never get enough belly rubs or treats. She makes sweet baby meows from excitement during every meal. Her previous owners abandoned her when they moved from their apartment but I’m confident she knows she’s found her furever home with me and Timmy 😻 Thank you to Abandoned Pet Rescue for making us a complete family again and helping Ella find the love and care she deserves.
