My Pet's Story
I adopted sweet Harlo from Abandoned Pet Rescue in early 2009. While filling out adoption papers I was asked to name her. Her platinum blonde coloring prompted me to name her after actress "Blonde Bombshell" Gene Harlow, (leaving off the w). It was 5 days later I knew Harlo would benefit from a play mate and returned to adopt her sister who I named Paisley. Paisley's name was originally one I had in mind should I ever have a baby girl. Little did I know my baby girl would be a fur baby! Not only are they sisters from the same litter but they are inseparably best friends. I can count the times they've been apart on one hand. Although from the same litter they are polar opposites. Harlo has lived up to her "movie star" name as she loves all the attention and lounging indoors while Paisley loves sunning outdoors and lizard hunting. Harlo loves to prance on long vibrant walks and from behind the tips of her ears look like angel wings flapping perfectly in tandem. It's a must see! Paisley on the other hand prefers to saunter and sniff, taking her time and then gallops like a thoroughbred to catch up. One of the sweetest things about Harlo & Paisley is when they are resting, they almost always are touching one another, ie: back to back, head to head, cuddling someway or another. Without prompting, everyone who has ever met or watched the "girls" says they are 2 of the most well behaved loving dogs they've ever met. They have added years of laughter, kisses, and love to my life. This picture says it all! I can't imagine being without them.
