Rules

• All entry donations as well as votes are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please save your credit card receipts for your tax records. Abandoned Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization

• All donations to the photo contest are final

• All photos and votes must be submitted for inclusion by 11:59:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 (ET)

• An email address is required to make an online donation. If you would not like to receive APR news and solicitations via email in the future, there is a checkbox that you can un-check at the time of your donation

• To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $10 donation is required. This amount will enter you into the contest and the submitted photo will be featured in the APR "Love is guaranteed" 2021 calendar.

• If you win one of the top-12 prizes, you will have the opportunity to submit a second photo on an available date in the 2021 APR Calendar

• One person may submit as many photos as they wish of one or several pets ( dogs, cats, rabbits, birds are accepted)

• Cats or Dogs do not need to be adopted by, fostered by, or otherwise affiliated with Abandoned Pet Rescue

• Photos may include multiple pets

• Photos may not include people

• Photos should be in focus and of high quality, in either jpg or png format. Contest winners may need to re-submit their photo to APR as a high-resolution, print-quality image

• All photos submitted will be placed at the discretion of Abandoned Pet Rescue. Any inappropriate images submitted will be removed with no opportunity for a refund

• Once entered, all photos become property of APR to be used for print and marketing purposes for future calendars and contests

• Photos may not be altered except for minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments. Photos may not be embellished with text or art

• Please note: Photos submitted offline (in person or by mail) may receive placement in the 2021 APR Calendar, but will not be eligible for the Pet Photo Contest

• Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image

• Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes for the amount of your donation (e.g., $5 donation equals 5 votes.) These votes then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries. Each donation has a required $5 minimum, but you are welcome to choose a higher donation amount that will enable you more votes

• Vote as often as you like

• We encourage you to share the contest link via email and all social media options with family and friends. Encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo and to continue sharing with their extended friends and families via all media sharing venues

• The photograph with the most votes (donations) at the end of the submission period will win the voting portion of the Photo Fundraiser.

• All donations are non-refundable. Contest payments are done through a safe secure and encrypted site. Abandoned Pet Rescue strongly encourages that all donations for the Pet Photo Contest be made online. However, in the event that you must submit an offline donation, please note that APR must receive it by 12 noon on Saturday, October 17, 2020 to be considered as a contests entry/vote.
