My Pet's Story
Britty was found walking down street in Miami She had two large mammary cysts which were most likely caused from having many puppies. She had to adjust to the way she walked, so her left foot dragged the sidewalk. She also has no bottom teeth between her canines A friend told me that since she was kept in a crate it was likely that she was bored and chewed on the crate. Juno Humane rescue was contacted and she was rescued. I have supported Juno Humane and have fostered for them in the past. Her face and story broke my heart. I donated and then paid the remaining bills. So when it was time for her to have a foster, Juno Humane asked me and of course we welcomed her to our home. Within two days I told her she didn’t have to worry about anything and that she could stay! She is so sweet and funny. She has learned from my spaniel mix , Ripley, who was also found on the streets in Pembroke Pines. He had luxating patella’s in both knees. He too eventually had to have surgery. He is an amazing boy and can leap and run. Britt has learned how to be a dog from him. She barks and plays when coaxed as we had to show her how to play. What she loves the most is rolling in the grass. And it’s almost impossible to walk down the street as she drops rolls every 20 feet in the grass! She actually smiles when doing this. She enjoys it so much and it makes me laugh every time. When we go for walks she knows exactly where she lives. Most of all she is happy and thriving. I encourage people to adopt! It’s worth it!
