My Pet's Story
I brought Pegasus home on Aug 9, 2014 after deciding to train my own PTSD Service Dog. When I first met him at Abandoned Pet Rescue while all the other dogs were barking and jumping up to say hello, he was reserved and gentle. After a few visits he came home and we began to bond and train. I have watched him gain confidence and also new loves like swimming and playing with his toys, and when I need his help, he's right by my side. We've traveled to Pittsburgh, PA in my convertible where he helped me enjoy the city's Pride Fest of over 25,000 people, and he has flown with me several times, always behaving and watching out for daddy. Our travels together have also included Chicago, IL where he took many rides on the famous 'El trains. I can honestly say, we have both saved each other's lives.
