My Pet's Story
Stevie was posted by Animal Control as a dog who was surrendered by his family, who were homeless. One look at his face, and it was over - "when are we going to get him?", I asked. With APR's help, we were able to adopt him, but had to quarantine him for a week due to kennel cough. Finally better, he was given a much needed bath, and introduced to his new pack. It took him a few weeks to get used to this new family - I am sure we can be an intimidating bunch - we would find him hiding under the bushes in the yard every time he was let out to play. When he realized he was with us to stay, he became much more relaxed and has developed a strong "bro-mance" with big brother Zach - they've become pretty much inseparable. He is a very sweet boy who loves his stuffed animals, treats, snuggles, giving kisses, and playtime with his fur-brother & sisters.
