I lost my beloved Winston at age 12. Our hearts were one. I always told him our love would last forever because it was pure "heart love." When I did have to make the painful decision to put him down, I needed to be able to help another dog. This is what brought me to ABESR and to Lukas. Lukas was one of the dogs dumped in Greece. I felt my Winston looking back at me. He and Lukas look much alike. I adopted Lukas. He is wonderful, loving, and I am so happy to have him in my life. I am fostering other dogs and feel that Winston overlooks each foster in an intangible way, and sweet Lukas is eager to get a chance to make new buddies.
