A little about me...
Falcor, nicknamed Gar, came to us at four months old -s first of seven Above and Beyond adoptees. He grew into a huge, big fluffy setter with the sweetest temperament and loving nature. When we talked to Gar, he tilted his head from one side to another as if he understood every word we said. He spent hours entertaining himself stalking birds, bunnies, and frogs. He was an excellent frisbee catcher and loved to run like the wind! He was quite the hunter and we believe there was some Saluki in his breeding. One night a big bat somehow got into the house. With seven dogs in the house, it was like a parade chasing after the bat. When it flew upstairs, only Falcor and I charged after it. I was crouching to avoid getting swooped upon by the bat, but Falcor watched it fly by twice then on the third swoop, Falcor leaped up and snatched that bat right out of the air then laid it on the carpet, turned around, and trotted downstairs as if to say, “I did my job – now you get rid of it!”. I still can’t believe he caught a bat right out of the air on the first try and he was so graceful in doing it! Falcor never met a person or dog he didn’t like! Even though he was exceptionally tall for a field setter, at night he had to curl up in my arm and put his head on my shoulder to sleep. He was a total Momma’s boy. Sadly, Gar went to the rainbow bridge. We miss him every day until we meet again!
