A little about me...
Meet our two beautiful and loving rescue setters! Gordy is our 8yo tricolor who came to us from another setter rescue 4 years ago and is our goofy and playful boy, suited to the name he was given during foster so we couldn't imagine changing it. The same goes for our Sir Lancelot (AKA Lancie) who was our first English setter rescue and an A&BESR alumni whose true age is a mystery because he was found as a stray, estimated to be 7yo when we adopted 4 years ago so now age 11. He is our stoic boy, a survivor of shot pellets (the evidence still in his skin), a broken tail (now a bit shorter), heartworm (supported through treatment by his loving foster mom who is now a dear friend), and more recently recurrent strokes felt to be a late side effect of the HW treatment. As you can see his brother is sensitive to the fact that something is not quite right and has become more protective of him. We are grateful for every day we have with him, and for the fact he is still a very happy and loving boy who finds joy in cuddling, daily walks, trips to the beach and camping whenever we get the chance. I am forever thankful for the work these rescues do to match loving setters to their forever humans! And thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who volunteer!
