A little about me...
Petals was found roaming in Oklahoma in 2019. She was turned in to a shelter there and "Above & Beyond" rescued her. She was transported to a foster home in Florida and we adopted her and brought her home to Atlanta GA. We had a scare 3 months after getting her where there was a chance she had a brain tumor. She had an inflamed optic nerve that was treated. Although she lost sight in her left eye the doctors think that she dodged a bullet in terms of the brain tumor. It's been 2 1/2 years and she is thriving.! Even with sight in only her right eye she really enjoys reading with her mom! She was extremely skittish when we first got her and especially afraid of men. If the doorbell rang, she would head for the deepest part of the house! She has come a long way as now when the doorbell rings she will actually poke her head around the corner. She is working on making human friends, although most of them are women! We're working on the men part (although she is crazy about her dad...she loves her daily walks with him). She is truly a sweetie!
