A little about me...
Layla was a Greek rescue whose baby picture captured our hearts! We got her when she was six months old but had no intention of adopting her because we were heartbroken (in a good way) that our previous foster Anafi was not a fail (cover model 2022) two months prior. It took eight months of searching for the right home only to realize that her high maintenance and very specific requirements for her skittish, unruly, crazy behavior was ours to keep. (Her very endearing feature was her solid 12-hour sleeping ability!) We kept her appointed name from her rescuer as a nod of thanks but added to her regency since we (and she) are convinced of her royal descent. She is a pure delight! She is a fabulous cuddler and still full of bouncy, vivacious energy which is why 5 years later she is still nicknamed "Puppy." Her comical head on a swivel looking and jumping into action at the mere whisper of the word "squirrel" keeps us laughing for hours. Her speed is spellbinding! Never seen a dog run so fast - neither have the bunnies! Layla is incredibly precious, sweet, smart, and we are beyond grateful for all the rescuers here and abroad at Above & Beyond!
