Our sweet Zamora previously lived in a feral colony outside of Shucks restaurant in Abbeville when an amazing lady noticed she was pregnant. I am so blessed for Acadiana Animal Aid as they took her in and allowed a safe place for her and her 3 beautiful babies to thrive . Her babies had all been adopted out very quickly once they were old enough, but since Zamora came from a feral colony she needed more time in a home to build her confidence and learn that us humans aren’t really that scary. After a few months she made some progress, but we still had a lot of trusting to do. We decided as a family to adopt her and let her know this was home and that she could trust us. Still to this day we get so excited over huge steps she makes and how she has turned into such a brave girl. We could not imagine our lives without her and she has taught us so much about patience and love.
