We rescued Layla from a shelter when she was 6 months old and had recently had her back-right leg amputated after being dropped off at a shelter with a badly broken leg. When we met her, just a few days after her surgery, she was sprinting around the yard full-speed - she is absolutely resilient. She is the most lovable, sweet dog with the best heart. She truly brings us the most joy every single day and we can't imagine her not being a part of our family. She's quite popular in our South Philly neighborhood, stealing the hearts of everyone she greets with many kisses.
