About Us

Alamo City House Rabbits (ACHR) is a 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue serving the Greater San Antonio Metro Area and South Texas since October 2015. ACHR rescues stray, abandoned, and neglected domestic rabbits and ensures they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and receive all veterinary care before being placed into indoor-only adoptive homes. ACHR operates on three principles – Education, Rescue, and Adoption, and appears at many events in schools and public venues to educate the community on proper rabbit care and raise awareness of rabbits as companion animals.
