About Us

Alachua County Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping pets in Alachua County for more than 40 years. We work closely with Alachua County's municipal public intake shelter, Alachua County Animal Services to reduce the euthanasia rate from over 7,000 per year to under 1,000. Our goal is to become a community where no healthy or treatable animal is euthanized due to lack of space. Your participation not only helps us further this mission, but it saves a countless amount of lives and we cannot thank you enough for your contribution.
