A little about me...
Shelby was named Winnie when she was rescued with her 7 brothers and sisters. They were just months old when their mother died and were forced to scrounge for whatever they could find to eat. Thankfully, they were put into the hands of the most amazing foster mom, Angie Heifner, who cared for them with such love. She would cuddle and hum a lullaby to each one of them at bedtime every night before they went into their kennels. She taught them to trust humans and that they were safe and loved. I’m very thankful for Angie’s dedication to all these orphans and for everyone at Adopt a Stray for rescuing them. I’m so grateful that I was allowed to adopt my sweet pup when she was under 5 months old. Shelby is now 11 months old, over 50 pounds and has yet to grow into her legs. She is such a happy, silly, cuddly, adventurous, athletic, beautiful girl. What a great personality! Shelby is always excited for all the adventures that my husband and I come up with. Life would be so boring without her in our lives. We love her so much!
