Ellie has been such a gift from the moment we rescued her.
It's as if whatever history she had, whatever she endured, was forgotten once she was in our car, our apartment and our arms.
Ellie immediately settled in as our gentle protector, our destroyer of toys, our snuggle buddy.
She is friendly to everyone she meets. She makes our tough days easier and our good days even more memorable. She must be in the middle of everything, and neither stuffed animals nor pup cups stand a chance with her.
We didn't need rescuing, but we did need this precious gift on four legs to make our family complete.
