Odin
Pet's Story or Bio
Ask anyone at AGPR who knows our adoption history and they'll tell you we go for the young, extra-large, crazy ones every time. And so it was with Odin. He was given up at six months by an owner who bought him from a breeder but had no idea how to raise a Great Pyrenees. Other than house-breaking, Odin had gotten no training at all and the owner, a gentleman in his 70s, couldn't handle him. We adopted him on first sight when he was eight months old, already 100 pounds and apparently the largest, nuttiest puppy AGPR ever had. It turned out that even with our experience with the crazies, we absolutely had our hands full with this one. But he's 2 1/2 now, we've worked with him and several trainers on various behaviors, and he's really turned a corner. He's always been a sweetheart and the most affectionate male we've ever had. Now he's maturing into a good boy. Thank goodness. Oh, and handsome, too.
