Dogs can teach us a lot about life. Roxy adopted at 2 years old, after having two previous owners and at the time, was breaking the record for longest stay at the local shelter. Everday she reminds me that people can only take from you what you allow them. If you allow others to define who you are, you are giving them the power to dictate where your path will lead. When Roxy was dropped off at the shelter she was labeled aggressive and should not be placed with other dogs, cats, or children. Roxy is part of a pack of 3 dogs, she has pushed through the fears that she learned from humans & replaced them with patience, trust & love.
