Haven was released from an Amish puppy mill bleeding heavily and barely alive. The ER Doctor said she had 30 minutes to live. She stayed at the ER for 2 weeks and 6 months that followed required biweekly blood work to ensure she had a chance to stay alive.
Total cost to save her life was $20,000.
Haven was a last minute "throw in" by the breeder and her foster parents knew she was sent from Heaven and named her Haven Sent before she even arrived.
It is Haven's life long quest to educate the public about puppy mills and the neglect and suffering of millions of dogs just like her just so their puppies can be sold to pet stores.
We're using her voice to help put an end to this cruel and un nessesary practice of what's supposed to be 'man's best friend'
Haven's main message is to educate people so they have the tools and education to adopt a dog through a shelter or rescue. Not pet stores, flea markets and backyard breeders.
Haven and the millions of dogs locked in cages for their entire lives depend on us to stop the cruelty. They are suffering and dying as we speak. Alone. In cages . No vet attention when they have an infection or babies are too big to be born. They suffer until they die.
